At the Artisan Distillers Canada Awards the Moon Distillery took home:

GOLD with Distinction for White Moon Vodka in the Contemporary Vodka category

Silver for Moon Shaft Liqueur in the Liqueur category

Bronze with Distinction in the Single Malt Whisky category for the Antifogmatic Bliss Single Malt Whisky

Bronze in the Contemporary Gin category for Citrus Gin

Distinction meaning the spirit performed the same or better than last year’s competition, indicating a consistent or improved quality

The White Moon Vodka, Shaft Liqueur, and the Citrus Gin are made with 100% local malt from Field Five Farm. Field Five Farm is located only 20 km away from the Distillery, on the Saanich Peninsula. We used 70% Field Five Farm white wheat malt, and 30% Field Five Farm Pilsner malt to create these spirits!

Single Malt Whisky Brings Home a Silver Medal

Antifogmatic Bliss Single Malt Whisky is made with 100% Vancouver Island Grown Barley Malt.

This barrel is BARREL NO. 7

The whisky was stored in a barrel that used to contain a Russian Imperial Stout; this imparts big coffee & vanilla notes into the Whisky.

Maturation Duration: 3 Years+

ABV: 42%

Tasting Notes:

Appearance (Colour): Mahogany, clear, semi-slow legs, beading clings to the surface

Aroma: Toffee, vanilla, cinnamon

Taste: Sweet, Buttery smooth. Notes of vanilla, coffee, prunes, caramel, malt, leather, and honey. Zero peat, sulphuric, woody, or smokey notes. Mild spice, herbal, nuttiness and wine notes (port)

Finish: Short finish
